Memory Care Caregiver Medication Tech Night Shift
Overview
You own resident care and medication distribution during the 10PM to 6AM shift at Bethesda Gardens Phoenix, ensuring safety and dignity for memory care residents. What You'll Do10
- 1Set up and pass medications following established policies, using MAR to track accuracy.
- 2Perform narcotic counts at shift start and end, and order medications from the pharmacy as needed.
- 3Check MARs for errors and document changes per physician orders, ensuring compliance.
- 4Pull expired or discontinued meds and prepare them for drug destruction.
- 5Administer treatments, take vital signs, and weigh residents, charting all changes.
- 6Admit new residents per community policy, coordinating with the Health Services Director.
- 7Assist residents with showers, grooming, dressing, and toileting, following individual care plans.
- 8Respond to call lights with patience, make safety rounds, and clean up incidents promptly while preserving dignity.
- 9Escort residents to dining, serve meals, and assist with dining room setup and cleanup.
- 10Communicate with families and healthcare providers about resident condition changes, maintaining confidentiality.
Requirements10
- 1Certified Caregiver Certificate as required by the State.
- 2CPR/First Aid certification per state regulations.
- 3High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 4Knowledge and skills to administer medications safely.
- 5Ability to lift residents in excess of 100 pounds with assistance.
- 6Capability to handle objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
- 7Must stoop, bend, and reach during daily tasks.
- 8Valid driver's license and compliance with auto policy.
- 9Interpersonal skills to communicate with residents, staff, and families.
- 10Ability to work independently and prioritize in stressful situations.
