Overview

As a Capital Platform Designer at Tech Pro Inc., you will own the recreation of complex wire harness designs within Capital, driving efficiency and output quality across the entire design lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CATIA V5 workflows and manage variant complexity, ensuring seamless data migration from legacy systems. What You'll Do9

  • 1Recreate electrical harness designs in Capital, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and quality metrics.
  • 2Design and optimize harness manufacturing workflows within Capital Platform Designer, reducing design cycle time.
  • 3Manage variant and complexity configurations, ensuring accurate representation of product options.
  • 4Integrate CATIA V5 with Capital for 3D routing activities, maintaining data consistency.
  • 5Oversee library and part management, ensuring component data integrity across projects.
  • 6Support legacy data migration efforts, mapping historical designs into Capital structures.
  • 7Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to resolve design conflicts.
  • 8Develop and maintain design rules and validation checks for harness quality.
  • 9Document design processes and best practices for team knowledge sharing.

Requirements9

  • 15+ years of experience in electrical harness design using Capital suite.
  • 2Expertise in Capital Logic Designer and Capital Platform Designer, with a focus on platform features.
  • 3Strong understanding of harness manufacturing workflows, including design-for-manufacturing principles.
  • 4Proven experience with variant and complexity management in large-scale harness projects.
  • 5Hands-on experience with CATIA V5 integration and 3D routing for harness design.
  • 6Familiarity with library/part management and data governance in Capital.
  • 7Ability to work onsite in Dallas and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • 8Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • 9Strong communication skills to articulate technical trade-offs.
