Senior Technician, Autonomous Vehicle Systems
Overview
This role owns the build, testing, and validation of advanced electromechanical systems for autonomous and electric vehicle platforms in Pittsburgh. You will fabricate complex wire harnesses, support prototype builds, and diagnose systems using CAN, Ethernet, and low-voltage electronics. What You'll Do6
- 1Fabricate complex wire harnesses from BOM and schematics, ensuring precision and reliability.
- 2Support prototype builds, retrofits, and system integrations for advanced vehicle programs.
- 3Assemble, diagnose, and repair electromechanical systems using CAN and Ethernet diagnostics.
- 4Document all work performed concisely to maintain clear records.
- 5Maintain high safety and quality standards across all tasks.
- 6Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve electromechanical issues in real time.
Requirements10
- 15+ years experience in wire harness fabrication and assembly.
- 2Proficient in CAN, Ethernet, low-voltage systems, sensors, and actuators.
- 3Skilled in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electromechanical systems.
- 4Demonstrated ability to work independently and own technical tasks.
- 5Strong communication and documentation skills.
- 6IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or equivalent harness fabrication certification.
- 7Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
- 8Experience with SolidWorks Electrical or EB-CAD.
- 9Familiarity with flashing ECUs and UDS or OBD diagnostics.
- 10Knowledge of vehicle safety systems and industry quality standards.
