Automation Equipment Wiring & Test Electrician
Overview
Design and implement automated tooling solutions for advanced assembly operations. Lead fabrication and testing of electronic hardware and prototypes. Ensure operational safety and efficiency. Drive continuous improvement in production processes. This role differs by focusing on hands-on development of physical systems rather than purely software tasks.
What You'll Do11
- 1Read interpret and apply technical process specifications and standards
- 2Fabricate developmental and prototype electronic hardware and critical assemblies
- 3Execute machine/tooling build field wiring and debug activities to specification
- 4Assemble and evaluate PCBs assemblies devices and full systems against drawings
- 5Troubleshoot component level issues and modify systems to restore function
- 6Capture and maintain test data create sketches schematics and graphical results
- 7Ensure safe operations and maintain clean work area following safety requirements
- 8Develop written inputs for design reviews proposals specifications and reports
- 9Complete required forms build documents and provide project updates
- 10Coordinate with customers and vendors provide regular status updates
- 11Support inventory control maintain component supply levels
Requirements15
- 1Associates degree in Electrical Electronic Technology or equivalent experience
- 23+ years with electrical electronic systems testing troubleshooting soldering wiring prototype builds and data logging
- 3Automotive background preferred
- 4IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 certifications
- 5Knowledge of electronic assembly standards including ESD best practices
- 6Ability to learn advanced SMT assembly equipment
- 7Strong foundation in digital analog power RF and FPGA electronics
- 8Proficiency troubleshooting to component level
- 9Experience with DMMs oscilloscopes thermocouples signal generators analyzers programmable power supplies
- 10Comfort with hand and power tools
- 11Meticulous attention to detail solid problem solving and decision making
- 12Excellent verbal and written communication for team and customer interactions
- 13Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Word and Excel
- 14Consistent PPE use and adherence to safety guidelines
- 15Organized work habits and clean work area maintenance
