Cannabis Advisor, Retail Cannabis Sales & Customer Education
Overview
The Cannabis Advisor will own front-line customer interactions in a fast-paced retail setting. You’ll educate customers on cannabis products, assist with order accuracy, and support store operations and compliance. You’ll build rapport with regular customers and collaborate with team members to deliver consistent service. This role emphasizes learning about cannabinoids and product use while adhering to regulatory requirements and safety standards.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build rapport with customers to promote repeat business and provide cannabis product education
- 2Provide accurate information on product types methods and efficacy while maintaining compliance with local and state laws
- 3Stock merchandise and replenish displays ensuring clear signage and organized inventory
- 4Process transactions at the POS and ensure METRC or BioTrack inventory is updated accurately
- 5Assist and support Cannabis Managers and teammates to maintain store cleanliness and smooth operations
- 6Ensure online orders are accurate prior to pick-up and verify compliance requirements
- 7Attend ongoing cannabis education and training sessions to stay current on products and regulations
- 8Maintain a clean organized and sanitized workstation/storefront
- 9Be an advocate of cannabis customer care and promote exceptional service
- 10Understand and apply detailed compliance regulations as required by local and state laws
Requirements7
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent
- 21-2 years of retail or hospitality experience
- 3Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local state and company regulations
- 4Undergo a criminal background check and appropriate state badging as directed by state ordinances
- 5Desire to learn about cannabinoids terpenes and product application/consumption methods
- 6Ability to use office equipment and software such as Word Excel email
- 7Learn and understand Federal State and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations
