Campus Staff Minister, Graduate & Faculty Ministry NYC
Overview
You will plant and build witnessing communities of graduate students and faculty who follow Jesus across Metro NYC campuses. Scale ministry from zero to thriving through Scripture, prayer, and discipleship. Partner with a regional team under InterVarsity's Graduate & Faculty Ministries. This role transforms campuses and raises up world changers.
What You'll Do10
- 1Pursue a vibrant relationship with the triune God through Scripture, prayer, and worship.
- 2Develop self-leadership in self-awareness, self-management, relational integrity, and resiliency.
- 3Lead students and faculty through Scripture and discipleship experiences that align with InterVarsity's vision.
- 4Set annual goals with your teams for qualitative and quantitative growth, including conversions and leadership development.
- 5Build leadership teams who trust and partner well, demonstrating spiritual vitality, relational health, and mission alignment.
- 6Develop and execute plans to achieve annual goals, evaluating and modifying them throughout the year.
- 7Mobilize students and faculty to engage their relational networks with the gospel and start new missional communities.
- 8Disciple students and faculty by equipping them to hear the Word, respond actively, and grow in Christlikeness.
- 9Raise 100% of the financial budget assigned by your supervisor through developing a team of partners.
- 10Complete reporting, planning, and review requirements in a timely way to assess and improve your ministry.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree required for four-year campus assignments.
- 2Affirm InterVarsity's Statement of Agreement (Doctrinal Basis and Purpose Statement) annually.
- 3Abide by InterVarsity's Code of Conduct and affirm its Human Sexuality Theological Paper.
- 4Affirm InterVarsity's Women in Ministry Statement of Affirmation.
- 5Strong interpersonal skills to minister to diverse ethnic communities and faculty.
- 6Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 7Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- 8Familiarity with word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software.
