Campus Staff Minister, Graduate & Faculty Ministry DC/Maryland
Overview
You will lead graduate students and faculty to encounter Jesus through Scripture, prayer, and discipleship, expanding witnessing communities across the DC/Maryland area. Reporting to an Area Director, you will build leadership teams, mobilize students and faculty for mission, and partner with donors to fund your ministry. This role uniquely combines spiritual formation with strategic campus outreach, requiring you to raise 100% of your budget through Ministry Partnership Development. What You'll Do10
- 1Develop a vibrant relationship with God through engagement with Scripture, prayer, and worship, both individually and in community.
- 2Lead students and faculty through Scripture, prayer, teaching, and discipleship experiences to align ministry activities with InterVarsity's vision.
- 3Set annual goals with teams for qualitative and quantitative growth, focusing on conversions and leadership development.
- 4Build leadership teams that trust and partner well with you, demonstrating spiritual vitality and mission alignment.
- 5Develop and execute plans to achieve annual goals, modifying as needed to maintain momentum.
- 6Mobilize students and faculty to engage their relational networks with the gospel and start new missional communities.
- 7Equip students and faculty to proclaim the good news of Jesus in word, deed, and power, and to think strategically about campus engagement.
- 8Partner with supervisors and national leaders to follow InterVarsity's direction and coaching.
- 9Raise 100% of your financial budget through Ministry Partnership Development, nurturing relationships with partners through regular communication.
- 10Complete reporting, planning, and review requirements in a timely manner.
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's degree required for four-year campus assignments.
- 2Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to minister to diverse ethnic communities and faculty.
- 3Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 4Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- 5Familiarity with word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software.
- 6Affirm InterVarsity's Statement of Agreement (Doctrinal Basis and Purpose Statement).
- 7Abide by InterVarsity's Code of Conduct.
- 8Believe and behave consonantly with InterVarsity's Human Sexuality Theological Paper.
