Overview

You will own business operations for the Hematology/Oncology department, processing purchasing orders and managing travel through Concur. You will support faculty by maintaining calendars, composing correspondence, and submitting expenses. You will troubleshoot shared equipment and facilitate service calls. This role is onsite in Houston, TX, and requires 2+ years of relevant experience.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Process purchasing orders for the Hematology/Oncology department.
  • 2Manage domestic and international travel in Concur.
  • 3Compose formal and informal correspondence, including creating and formatting presentations.
  • 4Assist with calendar scheduling and maintenance for faculty.
  • 5Assist with timekeeping and submit expenses for reimbursement.
  • 6Inspect and troubleshoot shared department equipment, facilitating service calls as needed.
  • 7Provide additional support to faculty members as needed.

Requirements6

  • 1High school diploma or GED.
  • 22+ years of relevant experience.
  • 3Bachelor's degree in a business-related field may be considered in lieu of experience.
  • 4Prior administrative support experience in an academic healthcare setting.
  • 5Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • 6Experience with Concur.
