Business Development Manager, Industrial Sales & Sandblasting
Overview
Own sales growth for Pirate Brand sandblasting equipment and supplies from our Indianapolis facility. You will strengthen a distributor network and win new OEM accounts, driving revenue for a U.S. manufacturer with a 45-year track record. Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to support customer needs and build long-term partnerships. This role offers a base salary plus uncapped commission, with expected first-year earnings of $75,000-$115,000.
What You'll Do8
- 1Deepen relationships with existing distributors to increase repeat business and market share.
- 2Identify and qualify new opportunities in abrasive blasting and industrial markets, converting leads into orders.
- 3Maintain precise customer and sales activity records in the company CRM system.
- 4Deliver product demonstrations and virtual presentations using Microsoft Teams to distributors and OEMs.
- 5Coordinate with internal engineering and production teams to align custom solutions with customer specs.
- 6Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing, securing orders for sandblasting pots and parts.
- 7Track sales metrics and market feedback to refine territory strategy and forecast accurately.
- 8Travel to trade shows and customer sites as needed, up to two weeks per year, to build industry connections.
Requirements8
- 13+ years in industrial sales, ideally with distributors, manufacturers, or OEMs.
- 2Background in abrasive blasting or sandblasting industry, with hands-on understanding of equipment.
- 3Knowledge of pneumatics and compressed air systems, including pressure and flow dynamics.
- 4Strong mechanical aptitude to grasp technical product specs and troubleshoot customer applications.
- 5Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data tracking and general computer applications.
- 6Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to manage a national distributor network.
- 7Self-motivated with a proven record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- 8Located in or willing to relocate to Indianapolis, Indiana, for onsite work.
