Business Development Manager, Commercial Landscaping
Overview
You will own business development for LPT Inc., a commercial landscape firm in Dallas, TX, securing new contracts in maintenance, irrigation, and construction. You will report to leadership, work with estimating and operations teams, and manage a portfolio of high-value accounts. This role combines hunting new business with growing existing relationships, targeting property managers, HOA boards, and developers. You will drive revenue growth and customer retention with a base salary plus performance incentives.
What You'll Do9
- 1Identify and pursue new commercial landscape contracts in maintenance, irrigation, enhancement, and construction, focusing on Dallas market.
- 2Build a pipeline of qualified opportunities using CRM systems and track win rates and revenue metrics.
- 3Develop relationships with property managers, asset managers, HOA boards, and developers to generate leads and referrals.
- 4Coordinate with estimating and operations teams to craft winning proposals and presentations for commercial landscape projects.
- 5Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen relationships and uncover additional service opportunities like irrigation or seasonal color.
- 6Lead customer engagement initiatives, including business reviews and surveys, to drive retention and contract renewals.
- 7Collaborate with Account Managers to resolve escalated concerns and ensure customer satisfaction metrics meet targets.
- 8Monitor market intelligence and competitor pricing, and support marketing efforts to position LPT Inc. as a leader in commercial landscaping.
- 9Participate in industry events, trade shows, and association meetings to network and promote services.
Requirements10
- 13+ years in commercial landscaping, and 2+ years in business development or sales (required).
- 25+ years total experience in business development, account management, or customer relationships.
- 3Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, marketing, or related field.
- 4Proven track record of generating and closing new business opportunities, with a focus on commercial clients.
- 5Experience working with HOAs, multifamily, commercial real estate, or municipalities is highly desirable.
- 6Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with excellent verbal and written presentation abilities.
- 7Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- 8Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, with a customer-focused mindset.
- 9Willingness to travel 25% for client visits and industry events.
- 10Must be able to commute to Dallas, TX 75220.
