Director of Lawn Maintenance Operations
Overview
You will own the entire lawn maintenance division at Keane Landscaping, a family-owned company serving Dallas-Fort Worth with 500+ residential and commercial clients. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead 5+ supervisors and 50+ field crew members, driving $5M+ in annual revenue. You will be in the field daily, not behind a desk. This role offers $85K base plus performance bonuses up to $35K, with total earnings reaching $120K+.
What You'll Do10
- 1Own all day-to-day lawn maintenance operations, from scheduling and routing to quality control on every property.
- 2Lead and manage supervisors, account managers, and foremen, holding each accountable for crew attendance, productivity, and work quality.
- 3Drive labor efficiency by optimizing crew sizes, routes, and schedules to control overtime and maximize production.
- 4Conduct weekly property inspections with checklists and photo documentation to enforce company quality standards.
- 5Retain customers through proactive service recovery and enhancement sales to grow recurring revenue.
- 6Recruit, hire, train, and retain field employees, focusing on safety and career development.
- 7Monitor equipment and vehicle needs, coordinating with fleet maintenance to minimize downtime.
- 8Manage the division's P&L, tracking revenue, labor costs, retention, and profitability against monthly targets.
- 9Implement KPI dashboards for crew performance, using data to spot problems and launch corrective actions within 48 hours.
- 10Partner with executive leadership on growth strategy and operational improvements, presenting monthly reviews.
Requirements8
- 15+ years in landscape maintenance, field operations, or a related management role.
- 2Proven experience managing multiple crews and supervisors in a high-volume environment.
- 3Strong leadership skills with the ability to create accountability across a large workforce.
- 4Expertise in scheduling, routing, and labor management to optimize productivity.
- 5Solid understanding of budgets, labor costs, and revenue drivers.
- 6Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a customer-service mindset.
- 7Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites across the DFW area.
- 8Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred.
