Business Analyst, Requirements & Data Insights
Overview
You will own the requirements lifecycle for cross-functional projects, turning stakeholder needs into technical solutions. Working with SQL and Excel to model data and drive decisions, you will partner with product, engineering, and operations teams. This contract role offers direct exposure to executive stakeholders and the chance to shape process improvements from day one.
What You'll Do8
- 1Gather and document business requirements through interviews with stakeholders in the first 30 days.
- 2Map current workflows and identify gaps using Visio or Lucidchart to propose efficiency gains.
- 3Develop SQL queries to extract and analyze data for reporting on key business metrics.
- 4Translate complex business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for the engineering team.
- 5Facilitate requirement review sessions to align cross-functional teams on project scope.
- 6Run data analysis in Excel to support strategic decisions with clear visualizations.
- 7Collaborate with QA to validate that delivered solutions meet original business objectives.
- 8Own the documentation of process changes, ensuring updates are accessible to all stakeholders.
Requirements7
- 13-5 years as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
- 2Hands-on experience with SQL for querying and data manipulation.
- 3Strong documentation skills using JIRA or Confluence.
- 4Proven ability to facilitate workshops and gather requirements from diverse stakeholders.
- 5Experience creating process flows and wireframes with Visio or Balsamiq.
- 6Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- 7Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.
