System Analyst, IT Consulting & Workforce Solutions
Overview
System Analyst owns the analysis and documentation of system requirements for a 7-month contract with a Fortune 500 client, working hybrid in Minnesota, St. Louis, or Charlotte. You will partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into functional specifications, process flows, and data mappings. Your analysis drives the design and implementation of system enhancements and integration solutions across enterprise platforms. This role offers direct exposure to stakeholder management and change management in a global IT consulting environment, with a clear mandate to deliver measurable outcomes within the first 90 days.
What You'll Do8
- 1Define system requirements and acceptance criteria for IT projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- 2Map current-state and future-state processes using BPMN and Visio, identifying gaps and automation opportunities.
- 3Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to elicit detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
- 4Write user stories and use cases in Jira and Confluence, tracking progress through Agile sprints.
- 5Translate business requirements into technical specifications for integration with REST APIs and SQL databases.
- 6Facilitate UAT sessions and sign-off with business users, documenting test results and defect triage.
- 7Support data analysis and data mapping using Excel and SQL to validate data transformation rules.
- 8Coordinate with offshore teams and vendors to ensure timely delivery of system enhancements.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of business analysis or system analysis experience in IT consulting or enterprise environments.
- 23+ years creating functional specifications, process flows, and data models.
- 32+ years using Jira, Confluence, and Visio for requirements management and process mapping.
- 42+ years working with SQL to query databases and analyze data.
- 51+ year experience with REST APIs and integration testing.
- 6Agile certification such as CSPO or CSM preferred.
- 7Banking or financial services domain experience a plus.
- 8Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
