Overview

You will assemble fabricated metal parts for substation building enclosures at Crown Technical Systems in Dallas, TX. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will read blueprints, operate power tools, and perform quality checks. This role offers hands-on training and internal promotion. You will contribute to reliable power distribution systems.

What You'll Do6

  • 1Read blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions to assemble components.
  • 2Assemble sheet metal and other materials using drills, impact drivers, and grinders.
  • 3Perform quality assurance checks to meet specifications and quality standards.
  • 4Identify product defects, record them, and report findings.
  • 5Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and parts at the workstation.
  • 6Maintain a clean and safe work area.

  • 1High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 21-2 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • 3Reading comprehension skills to interpret blueprints, wiring drawings, and schematics.
  • 4Basic math skills for technical specifications and measurements.
  • 5Basic understanding of tools like tape measures and impact drills.
  • 6Ability to operate powered equipment: forklift, reach truck, scissors lift, overhead crane.
  • 7Physical ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.
  • 8Lift, push, pull up to 35 pounds.
  • 9Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • 10Ability to differentiate between colored wires and electronic components.
