Overview

The Assembler II leads intermediate assembly operations producing quality products in a manufacturing environment. This full-time position requires independent work with minimal supervision and strict adherence to quality and safety standards.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Perform mechanical and/or electronic assembly of components and subassemblies according to work instructions, schematics, and drawings
  • 2Execute hand soldering operations through-hole and/or surface mount in accordance with workmanship standards
  • 3Use hand tools power tools soldering irons and measuring equipment safely and effectively
  • 4Read and interpret assembly prints bills of materials and routing instructions
  • 5Inspect assemblies for quality defects and proper workmanship making necessary adjustments or rework
  • 6Identify nonconforming materials or processes and report issues to supervision or quality personnel
  • 7Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
  • 8Meet established production schedules and quality metrics
  • 9Follow all safety ESD quality and manufacturing procedures
  • 10Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards
  • 11Assist with training or supporting entry-level assemblers as needed

Requirements17

  • 1High school diploma or GED
  • 22+ years of manufacturing assembly experience
  • 3Demonstrated soldering experience in electronics or electrical components
  • 4Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and drawings
  • 5Proficiency with hand tools and soldering equipment
  • 6Strong attention to detail and quality
  • 7Maintain effectiveness of Quality Management System according to applicable standards
  • 8Ensure customer requirements are met according to commitment and regulatory provisions
  • 9Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
  • 10Perform repetitive motions
  • 11Lift up to 25–50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
  • 12Visual acuity sufficient for close assembly and soldering work
  • 13Intermediate mechanical and/or technical aptitude
  • 14Manual dexterity and steady hand control for precision soldering
  • 15Experience with electronic electrical or electro-mechanical assemblies
  • 16Familiarity with quality inspection criteria and rework procedures
  • 17Experience working in regulated or high-reliability manufacturing environments
