Overview
You own the build and release infrastructure for a global engineering design house serving top-tier tech clients. Your work spans source control, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation across Git, Jenkins, and AWS. You'll lead multi-site release cycles, enforce code quality gates, and integrate AI tools to boost developer productivity. This role offers direct impact on engineering efficiency at a global scale.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build and maintain source code repositories, build scripts, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions.
- 2Design and deploy automated build, test, and deployment workflows across multiple teams and environments.
- 3Define and govern branching models like Gitflow and trunk-based development, enforcing merge policies and repository hygiene.
- 4Plan and execute large-scale software releases, libraries, and version control strategies for consistent delivery cycles.
- 5Architect tools for code quality enforcement, including static analysis, automated testing, and pre-merge validation gates.
- 6Maintain and scale build infrastructure on AWS and Docker to support growing team demands.
- 7Integrate AI capabilities to automate repetitive tasks and improve release workflow efficiency.
- 8Drive operational excellence by establishing best practices for code metrics, review workflows, and test coverage.
Requirements8
- 15+ years experience in build and release engineering or SDET roles within complex software environments.
- 2Proficiency with Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes for CI/CD and containerization.
- 3Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation and tooling.
- 4Hands-on experience with artifact repositories like Artifactory or Nexus.
- 5Knowledge of branching strategies and release management including Gitflow and trunk-based development.
- 6Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for infrastructure scaling.
- 7Familiarity with static analysis tools like SonarQube and test coverage frameworks.
- 8Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
