What You'll Do9

  • 1Test, inspect, and verify the functionality of medical equipment, measuring accuracy, sensitivity, and selectivity for infusion pumps, patient monitors, and ventilators.
  • 2Assemble, clean, calibrate, and troubleshoot devices like hospital beds and bariatric beds, ensuring they meet safety standards.
  • 3Diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs on-site or in the shop, restoring devices to full operational condition.
  • 4Complete manufacturer training and certifications, including CBET, to maintain technical proficiency and industry credentials.
  • 5Maintain accurate service records for repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance using computer-based systems.
  • 6Assist with delivery, installation, and setup of equipment at hospitals, coordinating with clinical staff.
  • 7Build professional relationships with hospital staff by providing exceptional customer service and technical support.
  • 8Process incoming rental equipment, checking for damage and preparing it for the next deployment.
  • 9Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety procedures and company policies.

Requirements11

  • 1Associate's degree in Electronics, Biomedical Equipment Technology, or related field.
  • 24-5 years repairing and maintaining infusion pumps, patient monitors, ventilators, hospital beds, and bariatric beds.
  • 3Strong knowledge of diagnostics, repair techniques, calibration, and preventative maintenance for medical equipment.
  • 4Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting.
  • 5Proficiency with computer systems for documentation and inventory tracking.
  • 6Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • 7Capability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • 8Professional communication skills for customer interaction.
  • 9Physical ability to lift and move equipment up to 75 pounds.
  • 10Pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • 11Flexibility for overtime when business needs require it.
