As a Facilities Maintenance Technician at Westmed Ambulance, you will own the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of our operational hubs in San Francisco. You will perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security. Your work directly supports our medical transport operations that run 24/7. What You'll Do10
- 1Perform scheduled inspections and maintenance on HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and security systems.
- 2Conduct general repairs such as carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, and door maintenance.
- 3Respond promptly to maintenance requests, prioritizing based on safety and operational impact.
- 4Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
- 5Maintain landscaping, exterior grounds, and parking areas to prevent hazards.
- 6Collaborate with vendors and contractors for major repairs or installations.
- 7Monitor and manage facility inventory, including tools, cleaning supplies, light bulbs, and parts.
- 8Assist in setup or teardown of workstations, office moves, and equipment relocations.
- 9Keep maintenance logs and service records up to date and report completed work.
- 10Support environmental cleanliness and sanitation to meet healthcare facility standards.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or GED required.
- 22+ years of experience in facility maintenance, building services, or similar trade required.
- 3Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- 4Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and maintenance equipment.
- 5Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- 6Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- 7Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- 8Valid California driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
