Bilingual Program Coordinator
Overview
Own resident services coordination for an affordable housing community in Houston, delivering CORES-certified programs that build knowledge, marketable skills, and healthy lifestyles. You will serve as the link between PRS and residents, creating monthly activity calendars and overseeing donations, volunteers, and community engagement. Part-time role at 5 hours per week, $17.50 per hour, with flexible scheduling and a mission-driven team. What You'll Do10
- 1Serve as the initial point of contact for the community center, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all residents.
- 2Design and post monthly calendars and weekly flyers to advertise activities, then distribute them door-to-door throughout the property.
- 3Prepare monthly reports based on distributed calendars, sign-in sheets, and contracted program hours and activities.
- 4Oversee program offerings, recruit volunteers, solicit donations, and work with community partners.
- 5Log all communications with volunteers, partners, and donations; submit the log monthly.
- 6Provide residents with information about local resources and assistance, enlisting their support for program planning.
- 7Monitor and interact with children, adults, and seniors, communicating resident needs to personnel.
- 8Maintain sign-in sheets for every activity and program, regardless of attendance.
- 9Manage petty cash, replenish supplies, and supervise the community center to keep it clean and organized.
- 10Keep all PRS binders and documents organized for review by management and resident services staff.
Requirements10
- 11+ year of relevant experience in education, social work, nonprofit, or a related field; volunteer experience counts.
- 2Experience working with children, teens, adults, or senior citizens in various capacities.
- 3Ability to work independently without supervision and multitask effectively.
- 4Exceptional organizational, computer, and administrative skills.
- 5Effective written and oral communication skills.
- 6Familiarity with community and social service resources.
- 7Must have a home computer, email access, and ability to do light printing.
- 8Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- 9Available to work 1 day per week from 12-5pm, with occasional evenings or weekends.
- 10Pass background check, drug screen, and reference check as required by state law.
