Overview
As a Bilingual Family Developer at Family Builders, you will own the full lifecycle of family support for English and Spanish speaking families pursuing foster care and adoption. You will manage compliance documentation, coordinate with government regulations, and maintain family files with precision. Working within a small, mission-driven team in San Francisco, you will also serve as the front office receptionist, ensuring smooth daily operations. This role centers on bilingual advocacy and cultural responsiveness, with direct impact on building permanent families for children in the foster care system.
What You'll Do8
- 1Support English and Spanish speaking families through the foster and adoption process, ensuring they receive clear guidance and compassionate service.
- 2Oversee all family documentation for compliance with government regulations, preparing files for audits and reviews.
- 3Maintain organized documentation and files for families using Google Suite and internal databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- 4Coordinate with social workers and agency staff to track family progress and address documentation gaps.
- 5Provide front office reception duties, greeting visitors, managing phone calls, and directing inquiries to appropriate team members.
- 6Translate written and spoken communication between Spanish and English, including letters, forms, and meetings, to support families from all backgrounds.
- 7Manage office supplies and equipment, assisting with program support tasks as needed.
- 8Enter and update family data in the agency's case management system, maintaining data integrity.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or equivalent experience.
- 2Fluency in Spanish and English, with the ability to translate both written and spoken communication.
- 32+ years of experience in a social services, nonprofit, or customer-facing role.
- 4Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing documentation and files.
- 5Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite; ability to learn new databases.
- 6Experience working independently within established systems and compliance structures.
- 7Ability to multitask in a dynamic office environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
