Bilingual Clinical Counselor, Spanish, Trauma Therapy
Overview
You will provide trauma-specific assessment and psychotherapy to children, adults, and families affected by domestic violence and sexual assault, delivering services in Spanish at DOVE Center in Washington, UT. You will own a caseload of primary and secondary survivors and lead individual, family, and group therapy sessions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and report to the Clinical Director. This role requires Spanish fluency and a clinical license (LCSW, CMHC, LPC, or LMFT) or associate-level supervision. You will make a direct impact in a trauma-informed environment, with pay starting at $28.00/hour for unlicensed and $32.00/hour for licensed.
What You'll Do9
- 1Deliver evidence-based trauma-focused therapy to survivors in individual and group settings using TF-CBT, EMDR, or DBT.
- 2Conduct intake assessments and crisis intervention in Spanish, ensuring trauma-sensitive care.
- 3Build individualized treatment plans within 30 days and review them regularly with clients.
- 4Document sessions, progress notes, and termination summaries in the electronic health record.
- 5Participate in clinical supervision and team meetings to coordinate care across the multidisciplinary team.
- 6Collaborate with DOVE Center staff and community partners to support survivor safety and well-being.
- 7Assist the Clinical Director with quarterly outcome reports and program evaluation.
- 8Engage in ongoing cultural competency and trauma-informed training to enhance service delivery.
- 9For child cases, meet with parents or caregivers to discuss progress and coordinate supportive services.
Requirements9
- 1Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
- 2LCSW or equivalent independent license, or CSW/associate-level license under supervision.
- 3Spanish fluency (written and spoken) for clinical documentation and therapy.
- 42+ years providing therapy to trauma-affected children, adults, or families.
- 5Training in trauma-specific modalities like TF-CBT, EMDR, or Play Therapy (preferred).
- 6Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and electronic health records.
- 7Knowledge of child development and childhood trauma for youth counseling.
- 8Reliable transportation and ability to travel occasionally for training.
- 9Pass a background check and adhere to VAWA and HIPAA confidentiality laws.
