Overview
The Benefits and Payroll Specialist supports leave administration and employee benefits at GLIDE. This role focuses on delivering seamless experiences for staff while improving processes. It is ideal for someone detail-oriented and skilled in benefits and payroll.
What You'll Do12
- 1Serve as primary administrator for leave programs including FMLA and SFPPLO
- 2Manage leave requests from intake through return-to-work with employee meetings and documentation collection
- 3Coordinate with third-party administrators and healthcare providers throughout the leave process
- 4Track leave balances and prepare payroll calculations and EDD documentation
- 5Administer benefit programs and conduct new hire orientations
- 6Process benefit enrollments terminations and life event changes
- 7Maintain benefit plan configurations in ADP Workforce Now
- 8Assist with semi-monthly payroll for over 230 employees
- 9Support payroll audits and compliance reviews
- 10Facilitate onboarding workflows in ADP Workforce Now
- 11Handle employee offboarding and HR transactions
- 12Stay current on employment law changes affecting payroll and benefits
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with PHR certification preferred
- 2Three years of progressive experience in payroll benefits and leave administration
- 3Proven experience with FMLA CFRA COBRA and California employment practices
- 4Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
- 5Ability to handle sensitive employee information professionally
- 6Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- 7Excellent communication skills for diverse interactions
- 8Experience with AI tools for resume review and verification
- 9Physical ability to work on computers and interact with office equipment
- 10Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS systems
