Overview

Own benefits administration for non-union staff at scale across medical dental vision life and disability plans. Collaborate with plan vendors payroll and HR leadership to support enrollment eligibility and compliance. Partner with the Benefits Manager on disability FMLA PFL and annual open enrollment. This role is onsite in Manhattan with occasional Bronx visits and emphasizes accuracy confidentiality and multi-project prioritization.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Build and oversee enrollment changes and terminations across all benefit programs
  • 2Design and audit monthly vendor bills and COBRA processing to ensure accuracy
  • 3Lead new hire benefit orientations and ongoing benefits support for employees
  • 4Scale eligibility processing and annual open enrollment activities with the Benefits Manager
  • 5Drive disability claim processing coordination including short-term long-term and FMLA/PFL
  • 6Coordinate workers compensation and benefit-related leave administration ensuring compliance
  • 7Audit and maintain electronic personnel and benefit files and run HRIS reports
  • 8Communicate benefits policies procedures and regulatory updates to employees and managers
  • 9Collaborate with payroll HR leadership and department heads on projects and reporting

Requirements9

  • 1Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • 2Minimum of 3 years experience in benefit administration for lower salary range or 5+ years for upper range
  • 3Superior administrative and computer skills with strong Excel Word and HRIS experience
  • 4Knowledge of UKG HRIS and UKG Ready or Kronos-timekeeping systems is a plus
  • 5Excellent organizational interpersonal and communication skills with ability to manage multiple projects
  • 6Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining confidentiality
  • 7Strong understanding of federal and state benefits regulations including ERISA COBRA FMLA PFL ADA and workers' compensation
  • 8Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
  • 9Willingness to work onsite in Manhattan with occasional Bronx visits
