Overview
As a Behavior Technician, you will own classroom support for students with significant behavior challenges at San Francisco schools. You will work side-by-side with teachers and BCBAs to implement IEP goals and behavior plans. This role focuses on delivering individualized instruction and fostering a positive learning environment. What You'll Do10
- 1Prepare instructional materials and resources for classroom activities.

- 3Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs, assisting with assignments and daily living activities.
- 4Implement behavior management strategies as directed by the teacher or BCBA.
- 5Track and monitor student behavior, intervening to maintain a productive learning environment.
- 6Foster positive social interactions among students, encouraging engagement and motivation.
- 7Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and professionals to address diverse student needs.
- 8Participate in team meetings, sharing progress and improvement strategies.
- 9Handle clerical tasks like record-keeping, grading, and organizing classroom displays.
- 10Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and non-instructional times.

- 1Hold an Associates degree or complete 48 college credits or a Paraprofessional certification.
- 2Demonstrate knowledge of instructional techniques for diverse learners.
- 3Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- 4Show patience, empathy, and a passion for student development.
- 5Pass background checks and meet school or district requirements.
