Overview
As a Behavioral Technician at Ro Health, you'll support students from pre-K to high school in San Francisco schools, using ABA strategies to help them meet behavioral goals. You'll work either 1:1 with a student or as a classroom aide, adapting to varied daily needs. This role offers full-time or part-time schedules with weekends off, and includes Last Mile Training to earn your RBT certification. What You'll Do8
- 1Implement ABA strategies to support students' behavioral goals in a 1:1 or general classroom setting.
- 2Accompany your assigned student to classes, ensuring they stay on task and work toward their goals.
- 3Adapt support to different students and classroom needs daily, as directed by the teacher.
- 4Communicate calmly and clearly with students and adults, fostering a positive learning environment.
- 5Maintain physical stamina for standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, including bending and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- 6Provide toileting and diapering assistance when needed.
- 7Collaborate with teachers and school staff to reinforce behavioral plans.
- 8Track and report student progress to supervisors and clinical team.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
- 21+ years experience in childcare or ABA preferred.
- 3Experience in a school setting preferred.
- 4Passion for supporting students in the learning process.
- 5Strong assessment skills to evaluate student behavior and needs.
- 6Ability to work well in a team environment.
- 7Certification as a RBT is a plus but not required; we provide Last Mile Training.
