Overview
As a School-Based Behavior Technician, you will deliver ABA-driven behavioral support to students from pre-K through high school, directly in their classrooms. You will own the implementation of individualized behavior plans in both 1:1 and classroom-wide settings, ensuring each student makes measurable progress. Your work will involve close collaboration with teachers and school staff, with the support of Ro Health's clinical and administrative teams. What You'll Do7
- 1Implement ABA strategies to support students in achieving their behavioral goals during the school day.
- 2Work 1:1 with a designated student, accompanying them to classes and providing real-time behavioral and educational support.
- 3Assist in a general classroom by helping the teacher manage student behavior and support multiple learners as needed.
- 4Use calm, clear, and concise communication when interacting with students, teachers, and parents.
- 5Maintain physical stamina to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, with frequent bending, crouching, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- 6Provide toileting and diapering assistance when required for student care.
- 7Document student progress and behavioral observations to inform adjustments in support strategies.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
- 21+ years experience in childcare or ABA preferred.
- 3Previous work in a school setting preferred.
- 4Strong assessment skills to evaluate student behavior and adjust support as needed.
- 5Ability to work effectively within a team environment alongside teachers and clinicians.
- 6Passion for supporting students with behavioral needs in an educational setting.
- 7Willingness to commute to or relocate to Hayward, CA 94540 before starting work.
