Overview
We seek a versatile high-energy Bartender & Server for a fast-paced neighborhood pizza restaurant and bar. You will craft cocktails pour drafts serve food and provide exceptional table service. This dual-role position focuses on delivering welcoming efficient service while creating an engaging local atmosphere.
What You'll Do11
- 1Prepare and serve classic cocktails beer wine and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and speed-of-service guidelines
- 2Maintain a clean organized well-stocked bar station including ice glassware garnishes and liquor inventory
- 3Check customer IDs to ensure legal drinking age compliance and monitor intoxication levels responsibly
- 4Process cash and card payments accurately using the Point of Sale system and balance the register drawer at end-of-shift
- 5Greet guests promptly seat parties and present menus with recommendations
- 6Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system and communicate dietary needs or modifications clearly to the kitchen staff
- 7Deliver food hot and fresh from the kitchen to tables ensuring all items match guest orders
- 8Maintain table hygiene by clearing empty plates glasses and trash throughout the dining experience pre-bussing and resetting tables quickly for new guests
- 9Collaborate with kitchen staff hosts and management to ensure smooth service and fast table turn times
- 10Assist with opening and closing procedures including restocking deep cleaning sanitizing work areas and garbage removal
- 11Resolve guest complaints or service issues promptly and professionally involving management when necessary
Requirements5
- 11–2 years of experience as a bartender and/server in a casual dining or full-service restaurant/bar environment
- 2State-required Responsible Alcohol Service certification (e.g., TIPS ServSafe Alcohol) and Food Handler certification preferred or required upon hire
- 3Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and proficiency with POS software such as Toast Square or Clover
- 4Ability to stand and walk for extended shifts (6–8+ hours lift/carry up to 30–50 lbs and bend or reach comfortably
- 5Strong interpersonal communication multi-tasking under pressure a strong work ethic and a positive team-oriented attitude
