Overview
You will own the bar at Calabria Italian Kitchen, pouring craft cocktails and Italian wines for a packed dining room in Nashville. You will work alongside a tight-knit crew of servers and chefs, delivering 5-star hospitality every shift. This role blends hands-on mixology with guest engagement, and you will have the freedom to create signature drinks. You will earn $800-$1,200 weekly plus tips, with benefits like health insurance and flexible scheduling.
What You'll Do8
- 1Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, using fresh ingredients and Italian spirits to craft a memorable bar menu.
- 2Greet every guest within 60 seconds of seating, engaging them with personalized recommendations and building rapport.
- 3Maintain a spotless bar station, wiping down counters, polishing glassware, and organizing bottles to health code standards.
- 4Monitor guest consumption and cut off service when necessary, following TIPS or ServSafe alcohol guidelines.
- 5Stock the bar before each shift, verifying par levels for liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware, and restocking mid-shift as needed.
- 6Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to time drink delivery with food courses, ensuring a seamless dining flow.
- 7Curate a lively atmosphere by playing upbeat music, engaging with regulars, and leading bar-top conversations.
- 8Track inventory and flag low-stock items to the manager, reducing waste by 15% through smart pouring and rotation.
Requirements8
- 11+ years bartending in a high-volume restaurant or bar, with proven mixology skills.
- 218+ years old, able to obtain ABLE Commission permit or Tennessee alcohol server license.
- 3Mastered classic cocktails like Negronis, Old Fashioneds, and Aperol Spritzes, with speed and consistency.
- 4Strong math skills for cash handling and POS operations (Toast or similar).
- 5Ability to lift 40+ lbs and stand for 8+ hours on a busy floor.
- 6Weekend and evening availability, including Friday and Saturday peak shifts.
- 7Certified in ServSafe Alcohol or willingness to complete within 30 days.
- 8Fluent in English for clear guest communication and teamwork.
