Bartender, Food & Beverage at BlueStar Resort & Golf
Overview
The Bartender prepares and serves beverages and food to guests at the bar, restaurant, or patio. You will work with the Food & Beverage team to provide hospitality and respond to guest questions with enthusiasm. This role supports banquets and events, balancing service quality with efficiency in a resort setting. You will join a team focused on guest satisfaction and operational standards. The position offers a part-time schedule onsite at Rio Verde, north of Scottsdale.
What You'll Do10
- 1Greet and serve guests in an energetic and friendly fashion
- 2Mix drinks and serve wine and beer and take guest food and beverage orders
- 3Take inventory and order liquors and supplies while maintaining budget
- 4Balance cash register and handle cash and card transactions accurately
- 5Oversee and assist in all Food & Beverage functions including corporate events and weddings
- 6Maintain a clean work area and ensure safety procedures are followed
- 7Prepare beverages and bar setups for banquets and other functions
- 8Respond to incoming food and beverage phone calls
- 9Attend culinary exhibitions to stay current with industry developments
- 10Work with staff to develop a common vision for Food & Beverage functions
Requirements10
- 1High School diploma preferred
- 2One year experience bartending in a resort facility preferred
- 3Must meet state and federal minimum age for serving alcohol
- 4Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS Certification
- 5Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide and calculate discounts and percentages
- 6Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- 7Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- 8Strong customer service orientation and teamwork
- 9Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with continuous improvement expectations
- 10Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
