Barista at BlueStar Resort & Golf, Food & Beverage, Part Time
Overview
The Barista prepares and sells coffee drinks at the resort level, serving guests on-site in a cafe setting and contributing to a premium guest experience. You will work with the Food & Beverage team to craft beverages, manage sales transactions, and support cafe operations. This role sits within a luxury resort atmosphere with access to other resort amenities and services. What You'll Do10
- 1Greet and serve guests in an energetic and friendly fashion while presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu
- 2Take orders with detailed information and consistently prepare beverages following standard recipes and presentation techniques
- 3Serve beverages to guests at tables indoors or on the patio
- 4Handle cash and card transactions and ensure accurate charges
- 5Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply and stock coffee brewing equipment
- 6Keep equipment clean and safely operating by following operating instructions and performing preventive maintenance
- 7Report needed equipment repairs to supervisor
- 8Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following sanitation standards
- 9Assist with team member training and maintain a supportive and friendly team environment
- 10Have a working knowledge of the resort facility to encourage guests to explore other services
Requirements10
- 1High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2One to three months` related experience preferred
- 3Must meet state and federal minimum age requirement for serving alcohol if applicable
- 4Current Food Handlers card
- 5Ability to learn and think quickly
- 6Ability to perform arithmetic calculations including discounts and percentages
- 7Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos
- 8Ability to prepare beverages using bar equipment while maintaining conversation with guests and team members
- 9Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests
- 10Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with little supervision
