What You'll Do11

  • 1Drive critical decision-making processes for radiation testing and analysis
  • 2Derive part performance classification and taxonomy for radiation environments
  • 3Tailor RHA requirements based on mission MEAL factors and risk posture
  • 4Bound stochastic and deterministic electronics failure modes from space radiation
  • 5Collaborate with design engineers and stakeholders to evaluate hardware impacts
  • 6Prepare radiation test plans and present findings to technical teams
  • 7Analyze schematics to assess upstream and downstream hardware impacts
  • 8Recommend design improvements and data collection strategies
  • 9Adapt to technical challenges involving industrial and automotive components in space
  • 10Work directly with technicians and engineers across diverse projects
  • 11Report to Electronics and Electrical Section Manager within a large engineering group

Requirements11

  • 1Zero years of relevant experience or MS/PhD with related degree
  • 2Bachelor's degree in Electrical Materials Aerospace Nuclear Engineering Physics
  • 3Technical knowledge of radiation effects in microelectronics and avionics systems
  • 4Familiarity with RHA activities for analog digital power systems
  • 5Experience assessing EEEE parts and radiation-induced failures
  • 6Ability to lead screening and characterization of heavy ion proton and laser SEE
  • 7Design and repair radiation test setups including specialized laboratory equipment
  • 8Preference for experience with embedded systems IoT power electronics battery systems
  • 9Familiarity with systems engineering integration and MBSE tools
  • 10Proficiency in statistical analysis Poisson Markov Gaussian methods
  • 11Strong adaptability to changing priorities and technical challenges
