Senior Avionics Engineer
Overview
Lead avionics and electrical system design for ultra-long endurance aircraft. Own transition of complex avionics systems from schematics to flight-ready hardware. Collaborate with engineers and technicians. Complete design integration and testing in onsite lab and integration environments.
What You'll Do11
- 1Lead completion of avionics and electrical system design including power systems and data systems
- 2Develop and maintain electrical schematics and wiring harness designs
- 3Perform electrical power distribution analysis circuit sizing and protection design
- 4Conduct data bus architecture and signal integrity analysis
- 5Develop vehicle integration and test activities
- 6Serve as technical liaison between engineering and technicians
- 7Maintain harness drawings and implement redlines
- 8Provide hands-on support for harness fabrication and system bring-up
- 9Support sensor integration data acquisition and debug
- 10Lead completion of avionics and electrical system design
- 11Familiarity with aircraft data buses CAN RS-485 ARINC-429
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Aerospace Engineering or related field
- 2Experience with electrical system design and schematic capture
- 3Strong understanding of DC power distribution and circuit protection
- 4Familiarity with aircraft or vehicle data buses
- 5Experience troubleshooting electrical and system integration issues
- 6Ability to work independently with high-level direction
- 7Comfortable working hands-on in lab integration and test environments
- 8Experience with Capital harness design tools
- 9Knowledge of aircraft wiring standards IPC WHMA-A-620 AS50881
- 10Experience with RF systems for navigation or data links
- 11Support integration labs or flight test campaigns
