What You'll Do8

  • 1Drive box trucks and personal vehicles to deliver automotive parts across Boston, following DOT regulations and traffic laws.
  • 2Load and unload parts manually, using pallet jacks and safe lifting techniques to protect yourself and the product.
  • 3Plan efficient delivery routes with mobile devices, adjusting for traffic and schedule changes to meet arrival windows.
  • 4Secure parts in the vehicle with straps and padding to prevent damage during transit, especially for heavy or bulky items.
  • 5Hand parts to customers with a professional attitude, answering questions and confirming receipt at each stop.
  • 6Log every delivery in dispatch software, noting timestamps and issues, and communicate route updates to the team.
  • 7Inspect your vehicle before and after shifts, checking brakes, lights, and tires to maintain DOT compliance.
  • 8Support warehouse staff by organizing parts for upcoming deliveries and maintaining a clean, orderly dock area.

Requirements7

  • 11-2 years of warehouse experience, including operating pallet jacks and managing heavy inventory.
  • 21+ years of commercial driving experience with box trucks or vans, preferred in auto parts or similar fields.
  • 3Valid commercial driver's license (class C or higher) with a clean driving record, no major violations in the past 3 years.
  • 4Working knowledge of DOT regulations, including hours-of-service limits and vehicle inspection requirements.
  • 5Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
  • 6Proficiency with route planning apps (e.g., Google Maps,Apple Maps) and basic mobile device skills.
  • 7Strong communication skills to interact with customers and dispatch, ensuring clear confirmation of deliveries.
