Store Driver, Automotive Parts Delivery | Advance Auto Parts
Overview
You'll own same-day parts delivery to pro customers, managing routes, pickups, returns, and sales flyers across the Boston area. You'll use the delivery board system to stay on schedule and build relationships with MainStreet and National Pro accounts. You'll also support in-store sales, stocking, and cleanliness. This contract role runs 3-5 months with potential for extension.
What You'll Do8
- 1Pick, stage, and deliver parts to pro customers using the delivery board system.
- 2Collect returns and cores from customer sites and process them through inventory systems.
- 3Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers and promote current sales and loyalty programs.
- 4Collect credit accounts daily and report insights to the CPP (Commercial Parts Pro).
- 5Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- 6Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.
- 7Stock shelves, manage back stock, and perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- 8Engage walk-in customers to recommend parts or services based on their needs.
Requirements10
- 1Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- 21+ years of safe driving and navigation ability, including use of delivery route apps.
- 31+ years of customer service or sales experience, with ability to build relationships and persuade.
- 4Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- 5Fluent in English (Spanish a plus).
- 6High school diploma or equivalent.
- 7Basic math proficiency: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers and fractions.
- 8Willing to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- 9Automotive parts experience preferred.
- 10Ability to operate inventory systems and store equipment safely.
