Automotive Parts Counterperson, Automotive Parts Advisor & GM Parts Specialist
Overview
Own the automotive parts counter at a Chevrolet dealership supporting technicians, service advisors, retail customers, and online orders. You will identify parts using VINs and catalogs, provide pricing and availability, and process orders at a fast pace for a growing Parts Department. What You'll Do10
- 1Build and process parts sales at the counter, over the phone, and online to drive revenue
- 2Identify parts using VINs and catalogs to ensure correct fitment and availability
- 3Provide accurate pricing, parts availability, and order-status updates
- 4Process repair-order, retail, wholesale, body shop, and eCommerce transactions
- 5Use Tekion DMS and catalogs for lookup, invoicing, billing, and order tracking
- 6Inform customers and technicians about related parts, options, and current specials
- 7Locate unavailable parts through outside vendors and submit emergency orders
- 8Track special-order, back-ordered, and will-call parts and notify stakeholders
- 9Pull, stage, and prepare parts for repair orders or customer pickup
- 10Assist with stocking, inventory accuracy, and maintaining a clean parts-counter area
Requirements10
- 1Minimum of automotive parts-counter experience
- 2Strong parts knowledge and lookup ability
- 3Ability to verify parts using VINs and electronic catalogs
- 4Experience assisting technicians, service advisors, or automotive customers
- 5Excellent customer service and communication skills
- 6Accuracy with repair orders, invoices, estimates, and special orders
- 7Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership
- 8Dependable attendance and ability to work the posted schedule
- 9Professional, organized, and team-focused
- 10Tekion DMS or RevolutionParts experience is a plus
