What You'll Do11
- 1Direct vegetation consultants on creating site-specific vegetation and soil management plans
- 2Review developed plans to verify alignment with state and local regulations permits and project budgets
- 3Assist internal teams in estimating vegetation establishment and maintenance costs
- 4Support permitting efforts by preparing vegetation-related documentation
- 5Present vegetation management plans to landowners and community members
- 6Oversee contractor vegetation efforts and provide staff training on management strategies
- 7Conduct site visits during development construction and operational stages to evaluate vegetation performance
- 8Provide technical assistance during operations by supervising consultants and contractors
- 9Support Vegetation Management leadership in reviewing documents and developing improvement processes
- 10Engage with industry groups regarding vegetation management on utility-scale solar projects
- 11Maintain confidentiality of sensitive project information
Requirements11
- 15+ years in vegetation implementation and planning or land management roles
- 2Bachelor’s degree in environmental science ecological restoration botany soil science or related field
- 3Experience working on vegetation management during construction and coordination with contractors
- 4Familiarity with EPA Integrated Vegetation Management principles and NRCS conservation practices
- 5Ability to navigate ArcGIS and Google Earth for environmental spatial analysis
- 6Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and communication
- 7Flexibility to travel up to 25 percent of time to project sites and Milwaukee meetings
- 8Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- 9Self-directed problem solver who thrives in dynamic environments
- 10Experience with vegetation identification soil sampling and traditional land management practices
