Associate Caregiver, Early Childhood Education & Family Support

Own the day-to-day care and supervision of young children in Washington DC, impacting development at a formative stage. What You'll Do10
- 1Build and supervise safe daily routines including feeding, naps, and hygiene while supporting developmentally appropriate play
- 2Design and lead age-appropriate activities to promote learning and social-emotional growth
- 3Maintain a clean, organized, and child-safe environment at all times
- 4Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about progress, daily updates, and notable milestones
- 5Monitor children's behavior and emotional well-being and report concerns to supervisors
- 6Follow childcare policies, safety protocols, and licensing regulations
- 7Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and coverage
- 8Document and share observations to tailor activities to each child's needs
- 9Support training and development opportunities to enhance caregiving skills
- 10Maintain positive relationships with families to foster trust and comfort in the care setting
Requirements8
- 1Previous experience in childcare, early childhood education, or a related caregiving role preferred
- 2Genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
- 3Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and families
- 4CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- 5Ability to pass a background check in compliance with DC childcare regulations
- 6Patient, reliable, and adaptable with a team-oriented attitude
- 7High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in child development is a plus
- 8CDA (child development associate) OR associate degree in Education or BA in Education is preferred
