Assistant Manager, Metal Supermarkets & Warehouse Operations
Overview
Own daily store operations, sales, and warehouse coordination at a new Metal Supermarkets franchise in La Vergne, TN. You will support the Store Manager, drive customer orders, and keep inventory moving across a 140+ store network. This hands-on role puts you on the front line of a growing operation, with PTO, paid holidays, and no nights or weekends.
What You'll Do5
- 1Support the Store Manager in daily operations, staff coordination, and customer service from day one.
- 2Assist with inside sales and walk-in customer orders, guiding buyers to the right steel, aluminum, and stainless products.
- 3Oversee inventory, warehouse organization, and order fulfillment, keeping stock accurate and accessible.
- 4Enforce safety procedures and equipment protocols across the warehouse floor.
- 5Step in to manage store operations when the Store Manager is away, handling scheduling and escalations.
Requirements4
- 11+ years in retail, sales, or warehouse management, preferably in a metal or hardware setting.
- 2Strong communication skills to lead a small team and handle customer interactions.
- 3Ability to lift and handle metal products weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- 4Detail-oriented with reliability in tracking orders and maintaining inventory accuracy.
