Overview
As the Assistant Director of Nursing at Fairland Center, you will support the Director of Nursing in delivering efficient, effective nursing care across a 200-bed skilled nursing facility. You will serve as the clinical operational liaison between nursing units and leadership, ensuring compliance with Genesis policies, practice standards, and regulations. Your role includes budget development, staff mentoring, and driving top-of-license practice. This position offers a chance to shape clinical outcomes in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
What You'll Do7
- 1Support the Director of Nursing in delivering efficient nursing care, achieving positive clinical outcomes, and ensuring patient, family, and employee satisfaction.
- 2Serve as the clinical operational liaison between nursing units and the Director of Nursing, facilitating communication and workflow.
- 3Ensure quality of clinical operations on nursing units, including compliance with Genesis policies, practice standards, and regulations.
- 4Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop, allocate, and control the nursing department budget.
- 5Foster continuous improvement and mentor nursing staff to achieve top-of-license practice.
- 6Assist with nurse staffing, including performance evaluations, interviews, and orientation of nurses.
- 7Maintain on-call availability to address clinical and operational issues as they arise.
Requirements5
- 1Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university with a current Registered Nurse license by the State Board of Nursing.
- 23+ years full-time or equivalent clinical experience.
- 32+ years of nursing supervision in a long-term care setting.
- 4Knowledge of the MDS process, state nurse practice acts, and state and federal regulations.
- 5On-call availability required.
