Overview
Lead joint supervision of Engineering Department Staff and manage all operations maintenance activities support under Chief Engineer. Provide technical advice instruction to subordinates across mechanical electrical control life safety systems and safety procedures.
What You'll Do12
- 1Provide technical advice expertise encouragement instruction to subordinates in mechanical systems electrical systems control systems life safety systems and safety procedures
- 2Perform plumbing electrical or HVAC tasks required in client buildings
- 3Maintain heating equipment chillers pumps cooling towers fan coil units vav and air distribution systems
- 4Inspect building systems fire alarm panels hvac equipment plumbing to ensure operation meets client agency and jll best practices
- 5Verify field conditions and perform repairs or adjustments as directed by Chief Engineer
- 6Monitor and interact with energy management system bms systems onsite for equipment operations troubleshooting and repairs
- 7Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints single line diagrams specifications o m&m manuals close out packages sequence of operations
- 8Perform pm assignments as directed by Chief Engineer in a timely efficient manner and close them on time within jll cmms system
- 9Assist other team members in maintenance and repair efforts and independently perform defined tasks associated with pm corrective maintenance and client requests
- 10Inspect maintenance and repair of electrical systems distribution ups normal emergency power fire alarm systems plumbing systems doors including hardware ada operators all lighting inside outside site lighting as directed by Chief Engineer
- 11Troubleshoot and isolate problems down to root cause and effectively repair issues associated
- 12Operate site vehicles safely maintain vehicles clean and orderly share assets among engineering team members
Requirements11
- 1Local 39 apprenticeship program preferred minimum five years experience
- 2Strong communication skills excellent time management problem solving abilities
- 3High school diploma or ged equivalent
- 4Universal cfc ep license high rise fire safety director certification
- 510+ years of related trade schooling or equivalent plus any electrical hvac or professional engineering license
- 6Good documentation communication skills ability to use microsoft office cmms system
- 7Customer service skills positive demeanor teamwork and ability to work in teams
- 8Physical ability to lift equipment up to fifty pounds occasional stooping bending kneeling standing sitting
- 9Ability to hear and see audible visual alarms detect changes in noise levels of operating rotating equipment
- 10Experience with portable radios and cell phones proficiency with tools of trade
- 11Working outdoors exposure to inclement weather and ability to work on ladders or catwalks
