Assembly Technician, Mechanical & Fluid Systems Integration
Overview
Own design and build of complex mechanical and fluid systems at scale alongside engineers. Work on subsystems from parts to fully integrated, pressure-tight hardware ready for test. Improve build processes and debug integration issues on a fast-moving floor with strong ownership. This role blends hands-on assembly with problem solving and collaboration to hit aggressive hardware milestones.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build mechanical and fluid systems including pressure vessels, piping, valves, and heat exchangers to ensure readiness for testing
- 2Assemble tubing and piping with routing, bending, cutting, and fitting to exact specifications
- 3Install sensors instrumentation and support hardware for test readiness and data capture
- 4Conduct pressure testing leak checking and system validation using hydrostatic and pneumatic methods
- 5Collaborate with engineering teams to bring up and debug systems on real test benches and in prototype environments
- 6Interpret engineering drawings P&IDs and assembly documentation to resolve fit-up and tolerance issues in real time
- 7Drive clean repeatable build processes ensure traceable builds and documentation for QA
- 8Support rapid prototyping and iteration under tight timelines and high ownership mindset
- 9Maintain safe working environment when handling highpressure and hightemperature systems
Requirements10
- 15+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly fluid systems or integration roles
- 2Proven experience assembling and testing complex mechanical or fluid systems
- 3Strong experience with tubing piping fittings and fluid system integration
- 4Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and P&IDs
- 5Experience with pressure testing leak detection and system validation
- 6Strong mechanical intuition and troubleshooting of integration issues quickly
- 7High attention to detail and craftsmanship in assembly work
- 8Track record of working effectively in fastpaced prototypeDriven environments
- 9High ownership mindset and ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
- 10Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with engineers
