Assembly Technician, Automotive Manufacturing & Restoration

Strange Engineering seeks a skilled Assembly Technician to lead precision manufacturing of high-performance automotive racing components. You will independently assemble critical systems for professional drag racing and NASCAR while maintaining meticulous quality standards. This role demands mechanical expertise and ownership of production processes.

You will build complex machinery for a top manufacturer in Riverside, MO. From day one, you own the assembly of mechanical and electrical components using blueprints and hand and power tools. You join a team of 5+ skilled assemblers and report to the production lead. This role stands out with a rapid interview process and $25-$32/hr pay, plus overtime. Your work directly impacts customer orders and production targets.

You will build chambers and other mechanical final assemblies to spec in our Assembly & Test Department. Your hands-on mechanical background and blueprint reading turn drawings into tested, inspection-ready hardware. You partner with engineering, production, and quality to solve fit-up issues and meet exacting customer standards. This role calls for precision, accountability, and a clear focus on clean work. You'll own the final stages of complex mechanical systems at a precision machining leader.

You will own rapid prototyping and low-volume assembly of automotive hardware in Fremont, CA, working directly with engineers to bring first-of-its-kind designs to life. Unlike high-volume factories, you'll handle early prototypes and short-run production, using tools like soldering irons and oscilloscopes to test and troubleshoot. You'll serve as a Quality Delegate, performing peer inspections and shaping manufacturing processes. This contract role offers hands-on impact on future transportation technology.
