Overview

You will own the PCB coating process for electronic circuit boards, from masking through UV inspection. Your work keeps production lines moving at a high-volume electronics manufacturer in Los Angeles. You will report to the production supervisor and collaborate with a team of assemblers and quality inspectors. This role offers a stable schedule, optional overtime, and room to grow into quality or manufacturing leadership.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Mask and clean PCBs before protective coating, following work instructions to prep each board for spray, dip, or automated application.
  • 2Apply conformal coatings using spray guns, dip tanks, or automated dispensers, adjusting settings for consistent coverage.
  • 3Inspect coated boards under UV light to catch defects like bubbles, skips, or thickness variations, and rework as needed.
  • 4Log production data and quality results in spreadsheets and ERP systems, keeping records accurate and current.
  • 5Follow chemical-handling procedures and wear required PPE to handle coatings and solvents safely.
  • 6Report equipment malfunctions or material defects to the supervisor immediately to minimize downtime.
  • 7Maintain a clean, organized work area to meet 5S and ISO standards.
  • 8Cross-train on other assembly tasks, such as soldering or testing, to support line flexibility.

Requirements8

  • 1High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 21+ years in manufacturing, assembly, electronics, or production environment.
  • 3Steady hands and fine motor skills for handling small components and applying coatings.
  • 4Ability to read and follow written work instructions and IPC standards.
  • 5Basic computer skills for data entry into quality logs and spreadsheets.
  • 6Comfortable standing for long periods and wearing safety gear, including gloves and respirators.
  • 7Willingness to learn conformal coating processes and pass internal certification.
  • 8Reliable attendance and punctuality for assigned shift.
