AS9100 Precision Machining Maintenance Leader
Overview
Lead maintenance operations for 130+ CNC assets in Dallas Texas to sustain peak uptime and capability while protecting on-time delivery for mission-critical aerospace customers. Engineer comprehensive PM and PdM programs advance reliability through vibration and spindle monitoring thermal imaging and oil analysis lead fast triage and repair of breakdowns establish MTTR and MTBF KPIs manage facilities infrastructure and coordinate OEMs/field service ensure compliance with AS9100 Rev D integrate EHS and regulatory standards collaborate with engineering on capability studies and new equipment qualification contribute to facility planning and budget management oversee contractors and maintain safety protocols.
What You'll Do16
- 1Build and design preventive maintenance programs across mechanical electrical hydraulic pneumatic and coolant systems
- 2Design and implement predictive maintenance strategies using vibration and spindle monitoring thermal imaging and oil analysis
- 3Lead rapid response and repair of equipment breakdowns tracking MTTR and MTBF KPIs
- 4Manage facilities infrastructure including HVAC compressed air electrical distribution coolant filtration overhead cranes and forklifts
- 5Coordinate OEMs field service rebuilds spindle replacements and control upgrades
- 6Ensure adherence to AS9100 Rev D for maintenance calibration and process control own calibration for CMMs gauges torque tools and measurement instruments
- 7Author and update work instructions SOPs and equipment records support internal external audits
- 8Investigate equipment related NCRs CARs execute root cause analysis and corrective actions
- 9Maintain complete maintenance histories and calibration certificates within CMMS ERP
- 10Lead technicians mentor develop skills and provide technical coaching
- 11Set on call emergency coverage champion safety first mindset with LOTO TAGOUT and PPE
- 12Manage annual budgets for labor spares tooling and contractor services recommend capital investments
- 13Implement critical spares strategy balance cost and uptime risk use CMMS data and OEE to prioritize CI projects
- 14Collaborate with manufacturing engineering on capability studies process changes and new equipment qualification
- 15Contribute to facility planning for new equipment line reconfigurations and expansions
- 16Comply with OSHA EPA and state/local regulations hazardous waste chemical safety environmental controls participate inspections audits and drive corrective actions
Requirements12
- 1BS in Mechanical Electrical Industrial Technology or related degree or AS plus 8+ years equivalent maintenance leadership in manufacturing
- 27+ years in precision manufacturing maintenance with 3+ years as supervisor or manager
- 3Direct experience with CNC turning centers 4-axis and 5-axis machining centers EDM wire sinker and CMM equipment
- 4Proficiency with Fanuc Siemens Heidenhain servo drives spindle systems and electrical/hydraulic circuits
- 5Background in AS9100 ISO 9001 or similar QMS environments fluency with CMMS for work orders PMs and equipment history
- 6Strong knowledge of electrical systems PLCs pneumatics and mechanical power transmission
- 7Experience managing budgets spare parts inventories and contractor relationships
- 8Thorough understanding of OSHA LOTO TAGOUT machine safeguarding and industrial safety best practices
- 9Preferred Aerospace defense space experience with AS9100 Rev D internal audits deep familiarity with high precision 5 axis platforms
- 10CMM maintenance qualification and calibration expertise Zeiss Hexagon Brown & Sharpe or equivalent
- 11Knowledge of SPC OEE and RCM methodologies CMRP CRL or equivalent certifications
- 12ERP exposure SAP Oracle Epicor integrated with maintenance modules ITAR awareness and experience in controlled defense manufacturing
