Overview

You will lead multi-family and residential architecture projects from initial design through construction administration, managing budgets up to $10M and teams of 5-10 architects and consultants. Reporting to the studio principal, you will coordinate with clients, structural engineers, and interior designers to deliver projects on schedule. This role focuses on technical execution, not just management, and requires deep knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD. You will work onsite in Los Angeles, collaborating closely with the firm's leadership to drive design excellence.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Lead the production of construction documents in Revit for multi-family and residential projects, ensuring accuracy and code compliance.
  • 2Coordinate with structural, MEP, and civil consultants to integrate their designs into a cohesive project delivery.
  • 3Oversee the entitlement and permitting process with the City of Los Angeles, including plan check corrections and public hearings.
  • 4Manage project schedules and budgets, tracking progress against milestones and reporting to the studio principal weekly.
  • 5Facilitate client meetings and presentations, translating feedback into actionable design updates.
  • 6Review and approve shop drawings and submittals during the construction phase, resolving RFIs promptly.
  • 7Mentor junior staff on Revit best practices and project documentation standards.
  • 8Develop and maintain project-specific BIM execution plans for Autodesk Construction Cloud workflows.

Requirements8

  • 15+ years of architectural project management experience, focusing on multi-family or residential projects.
  • 2Licensed Architect in California or in the process of obtaining licensure.
  • 33+ years leading teams of 3-5 architects and drafters.
  • 4Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for production work.
  • 55+ years coordinating with consultants and resolving complex technical design issues.
  • 6Proven track record of managing project budgets and schedules from start to finish.
  • 7Strong understanding of California Building Code and local zoning regulations.
  • 8Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
