Applications Engineer - Aehr Test Systems
Overview
We seek an Applications Engineer to lead test cell integration and program development while driving improvements across hardware and software issues. This role serves as the technical liaison between customers and internal teams delivering documentation and field engineering support. You will define requirements, provide training, and implement field change orders to deliver new software firmware and hardware releases.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain test programs using Java and Visual Basic
- 2Design and execute debugging procedures for complex operational problems
- 3Lead qualification interface activities with internal and external stakeholders
- 4Deliver technical training classes and operations programming sessions
- 5Implement Field Change Orders for software firmware and hardware updates
- 6Provide pre/post-sales support including demos and equipment integration
- 7Collaborate with SW engineers to resolve alignment and metrology challenges
- 8Develop cross-functional relationships to translate design needs into actionable specifications
- 9Communicate effectively in multilingual environments with strong written verbal skills
- 10Create technical documentation and train field engineers on equipment usage
Requirements6
- 1BSEE degree with 10+ years of industry experience
- 2Proficiency in Java Visual Basic C++ and Linux environments
- 3Deep understanding of DFT methodologies and structural tests like Scan/ATPG
- 4Hands-on experience with production optical metrology and optics alignment
- 5Experience working with SW engineers on system control software
- 6Ability to work in a fast-paced environment addressing diverse customer needs
