What You'll Do8
- 1Diagnose and repair plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, and fixture replacements in apartment homes and common areas.
- 2Troubleshoot and fix electrical systems, including outlets, switches, and lighting, ensuring code compliance and safety.
- 3Perform appliance repairs on refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, and washers/dryers, minimizing downtime for residents.
- 4Execute painting projects for unit turnovers and touch-ups, maintaining a polished appearance across the property.
- 5Complete carpentry work such as door, cabinet, and trim repairs, preserving the structural integrity of the community.
- 6Respond to after-hours emergency calls during on-call rotations, addressing urgent issues like water leaks or electrical failures.
- 7Use property management software to document work orders and track maintenance activities, ensuring accurate records.
- 8Inspecting fire systems including sprinklers and alarms, performing routine checks and reporting issues to management.
Requirements7
- 12+ years of experience in multifamily residential, commercial, or hotel maintenance.
- 2Intermediate competency in plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting, and carpentry.
- 3Familiarity with building safety systems, including fire sprinklers and alarms.
- 4Ability to use smart devices and property management software for work order tracking.
- 5Advanced knowledge of hand tools and basic power tools.
- 6Flexible schedule, including weekend work and participation in on-call rotations.
- 7Prior multi-family apartment maintenance experience is a plus.
