A&P Mechanic, Rotary Wing & FAA Compliance
Overview
FAA A&P License required with 3+ years civil helicopter maintenance experience and hands on heavy maintenance in a repair station. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair rotary-wing aircraft from multiple platforms including Bell, Airbus, Sikorsky, and MD at an FAA-certified repair station. This onsite Croydon role supports scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with a clear path to permanent hire. You will work on major avionics upgrades, engines, airframes, and components while maintaining safety and quality standards.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on helicopter platforms to ensure airworthiness upon completion
- 2Design and execute heavy maintenance and component overhauls for AW139 and other platforms
- 3Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and avionics issues and implement effective solutions
- 4Document all work in compliance with FAA regulations and repair station manuals
- 5Lead a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- 6Coordinate with team leads to complete projects within required timelines
- 7Maintain tools and parts, ensuring availability for scheduled maintenance
- 8Assist in compliance checks and record-keeping for audits
- 9Support a shift model with overtime when needed
- 10Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the repair station
Requirements10
- 1Valid FAA A&P License
- 23–5+ years of civilian helicopter maintenance experience or military rotary-wing maintenance experience
- 3Hands-on experience performing inspections and heavy maintenance
- 4Proven helicopter maintenance experience beyond crew chief or flightline support
- 5Experience in a repair station or similar environment
- 6Possession of own tools
- 7Ability to pass compliance
- 8AW139 experience ideally in a repair station environment
- 9Experience across Airbus / Eurocopter, Bell, or Sikorsky platforms
- 10Military candidates with documented heavy maintenance experience on rotary aircraft
