A&P Mechanic
Overview
Lead comprehensive maintenance repair overhaul of commercial aircraft in certified repair station environment. Research technical data perform disassembly repair cleaning adjustment assembly testing calibration ensuring compliance with maintenance manuals FAA regulations and Ascent Aviation policies. Focus on heavy maintenance for diverse fleet including narrow- and wide-body aircraft.
What You'll Do11
- 1Research technical data and perform disassembly repair cleaning adjustment assembly testing calibration of aircraft components using company special tools and ground equipment
- 2Repair replace rebuild aircraft structures such as wings fuselage rigging surface controls plumbing hydraulic units
- 3Remove units from aircraft engine or major component create identification inspections routing tags and logs
- 4Disassemble and inspect parts for wear or defects repair or replace defective engine parts reassemble install engines
- 5Adjust repair replace electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories
- 6Perform miscellaneous duties including cleaning servicing greasing moving parts checking brakes
- 7Own and lead daily maintenance operations ensure quality standards
- 8Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- 9Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex maintenance issues
- 10Mentor junior technicians through knowledge sharing
- 11Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Requirements10
- 1Essential Airframe certification required
- 23–5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience
- 3Hands-on experience with commercial aircraft airframes in heavy maintenance line maintenance or MRO environments
- 4Proficiency with aircraft systems and components
- 5Ability to work independently and make sound judgments
- 6Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
- 7Excellent problem-solving skills
