Overview
The Maryland Department of Natural Resources seeks an Administrator I to lead GIS and Survey Team functions across the Eastern Region. This role provides technical assistance for property survey administration boundary recovery field reconnaissance and conflict resolution while managing datasets within DNR's enterprise geographic information system and Asset Inventory Management System. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in land stewardship and conservation.

- 1Prepare boundary survey scopes and oversee survey deliverables
- 2Conduct boundary survey review verification and approval
- 3Identify and recover boundary lines through field and office methods
- 4Perform real property records research including deeds easements and rights of way
- 5Create deed plotting worksheets in CADD or GIS platforms
- 6Manage property asset datasets for enterprise geographic information systems
- 7Capture store analyze and map historical current and future property acquisitions
- 8Assist with data management tasks for Asset Inventory Management System
- 9Operate motor vehicle for assigned duties requiring valid Maryland license
- 10Maintain chain of title records and coordinate with field teams
- 11Support land acquisition missions through accurate boundary documentation
Requirements9
- 1Graduation from accredited high school or high school equivalency certificate
- 2Four years administrative or professional experience
- 3Possibility to substitute 30 college credits for up to four years of experience
- 4Ability to obtain Bachelor's degree for experience substitution
- 5Military service substitution available for commissioned officers with relevant administrative experience
- 6Minimum one year professional experience in property boundary surveys or land records management
- 7Three years real property surveying experience including field surveys and boundary research
- 8Familiarity with ArcGIS software CADD or GPS mapping tools
- 9Knowledge of Maryland real estate and boundary survey legal principles
